FAQ

Ordering & Accounts

Do I need a wholesale or dealer account to buy?
No. Unlike most suppliers, we don't gate pricing behind an account, membership, or minimum order. Everyone — professional installers and homeowners alike — gets the same fair, bulk-based pricing. Just add to cart and check out.

Do you sell to homeowners, or only to installers?
Both. We sell most items by the case or reel for installers, and we offer smaller bags (like a bag of 25 C9 bulbs) for homeowners and smaller jobs. If you want the pro look on your own home, you're in the right place.

What's the difference between a "case" and a "bag"?
A case (or reel) is the bulk/installer quantity — for example, a case of 500 C9 bulbs or a 1,000' reel of socket cord. A bag is a smaller pack, like 25 bulbs, for a single job, repairs, or a homeowner project. Both pull from the same commercial-grade stock.

Is case pricing per color, or can I mix colors in one case?
Case pricing is per color — a case of 500 is 500 bulbs of a single color. You can't combine 500 assorted bulbs into one case price. Want a multi-color look? Order a case (or a bag) of each color you need and mix them on the install — run as many colors as your design calls for, each at its own case or bag pricing.

How do I pay?
You pay when you pick up. Place your order online — no payment is taken at checkout — and we'll email you when it's staged and ready. Settle up in person when you come get it. If you'd like to arrange payment ahead of time, just email us.

Pickup

How do I get my order?
Right now we offer local pickup only. Place your order online, select Pickup at checkout (there's no charge), and we'll email you when it's staged and ready. Then swing by with your order confirmation, pay, and we'll load you up.

Where do I pick up?
12850 Old Wellborn Rd, College Station, TX 77845.

How soon will my order be ready?
Usually within 24 hours. During peak season (October–December) it can take a little longer, and we'll let you know if so. Please wait for your "ready for pickup" email before driving over — we don't want you making the trip twice.

Do you ship?
Not yet, but it's coming. If you're outside the Bryan/College Station area and need product, email operations@texaslightcooperative.com — depending on the order, we may be able to work something out.

How long will you hold my order?
30 days from your pickup notification. Need it held longer? Just tell us.

Can I pick up at a specific time?
Come by after you get your ready notification and someone will be there with your order. If you need a specific day or time, email us and we'll work with you.

Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy?
All sales are final, so please confirm your quantities, colors, and bulb spacing before checkout — and reach out before ordering if you're unsure; we're glad to help you spec a job. We make exceptions for items that are defective or if we pulled the wrong item — please check your order before you leave and we'll make it right on the spot, or contact us within 7 days.

Is there a warranty?
Yes. Minleon C9 LED products carry a 3-season manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a product fails under normal use within that window, contact us and we'll help you process the claim.

Products & Technical

Why C9 bulbs?
The C9 is the larger, classic "Christmas bulb" with an intermediate E17 base — the go-to for rooflines, ridges, and commercial buildings where you want that bold, traditional look. It's what we specialize in, available in every color, so you can build any design on one consistent system.

What bulb spacing should I choose, 12" or 15"?
12" — denser coverage; best for smaller homes with under about 100 feet of run. 15" — our recommendation for most jobs: residential runs over 100 feet, commercial buildings, and large structures. Tighter spacing puts more bulbs per foot for a fuller look; 15" gives a clean, even look and covers more linear footage per reel.

Can I cut the socket cord to length?
Yes. Our SPT-1 socket cord comes pre-socketed on reels and can be cut on site to fit each run, then finished with slide-on male and female plug ends. Pair it with our bulk bare wire and plug ends to build custom-length cords, jumpers, and extensions.

How many bulbs are in a run, and how long can a run be?
A practical guideline used across the industry is to keep a single run under roughly 300 feet or 500 bulbs, whichever comes first, and to stay within about 80% of a circuit's capacity (a 15-amp circuit safely handles ~1,440 watts). Because our LED C9 bulbs draw under a watt each, you can run far more bulbs than old incandescents — but connector ratings, voltage drop, and your breaker are the real limits. When in doubt, follow the manufacturer's instructions, local electrical code, and consult a licensed electrician. This is general guidance, not an electrical plan for your specific install.

Are these commercial grade or the same as store-bought lights?
Commercial grade. Minleon bulbs are built with a thick, impact-resistant shell, are waterproof (sealed) and dimmable, UV-coated to resist fading, and color-matched from one production year to the next — so next season's bulbs match this season's. They're rated for indoor and outdoor use.

Are the bulbs dimmable and good for indoor/outdoor use?
Yes to both. They're steady, dimmable LED retrofits rated for indoor and outdoor installation.

What is a magnetic socket cord?
It's socket cord with magnetic sockets that snap onto steel beams, awnings, signage, and other metal surfaces for fast, drill-free commercial installs. It's a premium option where you can't or don't want to use clips.

What do I need for a basic C9 roofline install?
At minimum: C9 bulbs, C9 socket cord in your chosen spacing (12" or 15"), male and female plug ends to finish your runs, and clips to mount it. For metal surfaces or drill-free commercial installs, use our magnetic socket cord. Not sure what quantities you need? Email us your run lengths and we'll help.

Can I mix bulb colors?
Absolutely. Build custom strands by combining colors on a single run, or order different colors by the case or bag to match your design. We stock C9 bulbs in Warm White, Pure White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Multi.

New to Installing?

I'm just starting out and don't know what to order. Can you help?
Yes — that's exactly why we're here. Start with one of our basic bundles, or order our Roofline Measuring Service: send us an address and we'll outline the roofline, calculate your footage and bulb count, recommend wreath placements, and send back a complete product list so you can bid and order with confidence. We know what it's like in the beginning, and we'll be here as you scale.
